Exercise your mind in new ways every day and you will build new neural pathways. The best mind exercises involve problems and challenges you have never confronted before.
Of course we all exercise our minds in familiar ways. That is what I am doing now. I love to write. In the present moment, I am exercising tried and true neural pathways.
To make new pathways, I need to think in ways that are unfamiliar. We usually do not think in unusual ways unless there is a regular opportunity to do so.
Here it is! The idea behind this page is simple. Take a few minutes to think about a problem you (hopefully) have never seen or thought about before. It actually does not matter if you “solve it.” What matters is that you activate new neural pathways.
Do the mind exercises here every day. It only takes a few minutes. Some problems you will be able to solve in a snap. Others may take a while. It is healing to ponder a challenging problem.
I suggest that you do not make a big deal over it. Just visit this page Monday through Friday. You will find a new problem to solve every day. You will see the answer the following day here (unless the problem is presented on Friday, in which case you will see the answer on Monday).
Enjoy watching those neural pathways grow little by little, day by day, as you have fun solving new problems. Enjoy the new energy and vitality that is restored by doing the mind exercises each day. Make it a habit to visit this page every week day and you will be pleasantly surprised with how sharp your thinking becomes. Your mind can become young again. Just give it a chance and a little time to recover.
Take a vacation on the weekends. Your brain needs time to rewire itself.
